Just looking for some information on this SKS. I have never seen a D model in the grease let alone a Beta Arms stamped rifle. I couldnt find very much on this, looks like they were imported to the States in the eighties. Anybody have one ? What are they worth? Numbers all match.

looks to be a real sksd looks unfired from the cosmoline grease but would require more close up inspection receiver looks machined and not stamped (there has been very limited number stamped recevier sks). they sometime come up for sale at 500-700$ if its new in box unfired might be a bit more that is for the canadian market. the type81 may have killed the value a bit though

I have no idea of the cost but looks pretty good I'd love to know how she fires I know my tools are pretty accurate I've never shot anything Chinese besides my northern co JW 2022 and my m305s

at one point in the past, the D was $125 and the standard was $25 cheaper. if you chose the D you wouldve made a good investment cos when they stopped importing the Ds, the price started to move up.

i had a 4 rifle collect of Ds and i paid an avg of $200 (i was late to the party) and sold it all when i doubled my money (checked out too early) and then watched it go ballistic to $700.

it might also be the kd who dropped the value a little but i personally would want the real chinese sks-d . imho the kd is like having a baseline camaro and making a SS clone out of it. it just will never be the real thing

i wish tactical import would convince norinco to make sks d again. but then the old story of they have to get a big contract from other countrys as well to justify changing the tooling

imho, it was the SKS-KD.

Sks-KD is an abomination. And did nothing to drop the SKS-D prices.

The market on these fluctuates all the time. The only reason I own a SKS-D is purely for collection purpuses.

The one pictured is freaking cool. Thats a nice collector piece for sure.

Did you get a m305x39 for your collection dill?? I’m worried you may have over looked that one lol

That is one good looking rifle! Nice aesthetic.

I've got one (Just a regular D Model) currently sitting in an Archangel stock, but I kept the original and oiled it up to potentially switch it back one day.

Someone lobbed off the bayo lug, but once I find a complete one, I'll install it and grab the spike bayo as well. Now I just need to find some metal 5/20 mags to complete the look.
