Bettinsoli?

Owned by Beretta I believe. Franchis (also owned by Beretta) are made in the Bettinsoli factory. They (Franchis) are not Beretta's by a long shot, but decent guns. No experience with an actual Bewttinsoli.

I’ve been shooting an X9 for the last year and a half. Avg about 100rds a week . Not heavy use but no complaints so far. I think the biggest difference between the 9 and both the 8s is the rib height. The 9 is the lowest and there’s a mid height 8 extra and the higher x8 plus.
There a few in use at our club. I don’t know if anyone has had trouble with them .

Seems hard to find any long-term info on them, one member shoots an X8 high rib and loves it, has had no issues, but he doesn't shoot a high volume either. Looking to upgrade and they have all the features I want, and the price is good, so I'm curious.

member at our club had one, shot it for a season, upgraded to a beretta 690 and gave it to another member who after a year needed a new firing pin. They are no longer being dealt by stoegar canada/ beretta but instead the importer who handles baikal takes care of them.

It is a beauty of a gun that said, but a browning CX is only a few hundred more and you can get chokes and all the parts alot easier. I considered the bettinsoli and if I come across a used one when I am ready, it will be very tempting.

I bought mine used from a member on the EE. Although it could have easily passed for new . There is not much to find online about them, I even called some of the dealers that had them in stock . I don’t recall even they had much insight on the models.
The fellas that I shoot with had good luck with theirs so I thought it was a reasonable gun to try for my first o/u.
I did put an adjustable butt plate on mine, either I have a seriously flawed technique or there was not enough drop in the stock for me but I am having better results and feeling more confident with the gun now .
It will accept Mobil chokes and I did try A different recoil pad on mine. I got it online from the uk. Seems the brand is far more common elsewhere.

I have an X9 in 28ga I have had for about a year/1000rounds now (not the everyday gauge). I quite like it, fit and finish is quite nice on it, lock up is good, mechanical triggers are crisp. I'm not expecting it to last as long as my Blaser, but seeing that it was 1/5th the price, I can deal with the potentially shorter life span.

They do supply Franchi's O/U's, in Canada they are handled through Baikal. I couldn't find any warranty information or long-term first hand information on them, that's why I passed on them in the end.

And yet they say Benelli on them.
Why is this?

Apparently, Beretta owns everything.
From wikipedia:
Luigi Franchi S.p.A. Uberti. Beretta Holding also holds two other Italian companies, Benelli Armi in Urbino and Meccanica Del Sarca in Pietramurata, Trentino.[7][8]

In addition to its operations in Italy, Beretta holds several European companies, including Beretta Hellas in Athens, Espingardaria Belga in Lisbon and Beretta Benelli Iberica in Trespuentes, Spain. Beretta has two subsidiaries in France, Humbert CTTS in Veauche, along with Cougar France which operates the Beretta Gallery retail store in Paris.[9] Beretta has one Swiss subsidiary, Outdoor Enterprise in Muralto, and two in Germany, Manfred Alberts GmbH in Wiehl-Bielstein and Steiner-Optik GmbH in Bayreuth.[10] In northern Europe, Beretta has the Finnish firearms manufacturer SAKO as well as UK distributor GMK Ltd, which owns the Beretta Gallery in London.[7][11][12]
