Between the two?!

What one would you go with ?

Savage 11/111 Long range hunter (detach mag a brake)
OR
Savage 10FCP (heavy fluted barrel and brake)

Both rifles are .308

Im leaning towards 10FCP because a buddy has one and has 5 shots 1 hole with hand loads. Plus the heavy fluted barrel is nice...

Likely to replace the stock on both rifles.

30 dollar difference.

Curious to see if anyone has experience with both or what one others would go with. Let me know !

I own a LRP in 6.5 Creed and 4 buddies own the LE Rifle that was out a bit ago. .5 is typical. Only 700 fans don't believe it...

I have the FCP, love it and yes its a tack driver with hand loads.

My vote would be the 10 unless you plan to use it on double duty as a hunting rifle, then the heavy barrel gets to be a little much to carry around.

I disagree. I run my fcp-k for hunting and it's about 11lbs. We routinely walk 5ish miles pushing bush and looking for game. I have no issues with it and I'm 5'9" and was 240lbs of out of shape. It was a little long to handle in the thick woods but that's it.
