Bevan is a very nice guy who can do fine work!
I worked and built barrels with him for a year or so.
Yes, hes getting older for sure. I dont bother him for work anymore because I know he has lots of projects he wants to finish.

I helped him catch up on his barrels in hopes he could carry on with his own hobbies.
But hes backed up again.

Bevan can make .223 barrels to fit pretty much any action/thread count.
As for spiral fluting, i'm not sure if hes set up for it.

He might do it for you, you just have to ask him.
Hes a very genuine Australian/Canadian guy who learned his stuff from P.O. Ackley himself.
I consider him a good friend because he took the time to teach me how to build barrels and various gunsmithing. We built three of the first 7mm Ultra Mags. In this part of Alberta, (as far as I know of our timing). Remington had just announced its .300ultra mag shortly before we got our reamer. Maybe 3-4 months before we started the whole project. What an opportunity that was! I really enjoyed building those rifles!
I still use mine on occasion. Flat as he*#! that cartridge is! But it does have a few downfalls. As most cartridges do.

Take care and straight shoot'in you gunnutz!

If the other guys in this post dont give you his contact info, I will call him and ask him if it is o.k. To give it to you.

dthunter, my contact info has been sent to him and if he wishes to reply great ... if not, I do not wish to hassle the gent. Thanks alot,

go with a krieger or a shilen jay, juanvaldez will be able to sell you a pierce action and barrel, saves the work of lookin for a smith to put her together. If you're lucky he might have a 223 wylde reamer for your barrel

Spiral flue are nice, but it take alot of time to setting up for it, this one was done on a CNC Mill, but an experience machinist can set this up on a Manual machine, it does take alot of work, the out come are very Nice.
