Bi-Metallic bullets through an LE barrel?

Ok, I have a 1912 #1Mk3 that belonged to my grandfather. Along with a few copper jacketed reloads, I have also let a few 7.62x39 Mexican Match rounds go through it. My concern is about the bi-metallic bullet in the old Lee barrel. Is there a threat of increased barrel wear from the milsurp copper washed bullet compared to a copper jacketed bullet? I'm pretty sure that there was no such thing as an original chrome barrel to help decrease wear. I'm not planning on blowing through cases of ammo with this rifle, I just want to avoid unwarranted wear.
 
What kind of 7.62x39 is it? Pictures may help.

Most surplus M43 bullets have a steel core, a lead filling around that core, and a copper jacket. So you'll be fine.

When you consider that war-time .303 had a cupro-nickel jacket; that .310th's 7.62 round isn't going to hurt it any.
 
Poke around a bit... There was a whole thread last year on how to pull the bullets and powder from surplus x39 and 54R bullets for cheap reloading components for .303

According to the guys who do it, both bullets can work fairly well, and there's a fairly straightforward ratio of how much powder from 54R you use in a .303 brass case (something like a 10% reduction, IIRC, but don't bet your rifle on my shaky memory.)

With the Soviet surplus ammo, it's the primer itself that's got the corrosive elements, not like the old cordite powder from very old .303 ammo, where the powder itself was a part of the problem, in terms of corrosive elements.
 
GP11 is Cupro nickel over mild steel jacket. Not a problem so long as velocity is kept reasonable, under 2800fps±.
