Bi-pod for my mrad/ and other related heavy rifle conversation

Mine is fine with factory amax hornady, smooth easy extraction. Reloads the same. Federal xm I only fired one round. Too hard to open.

The Atlas model we used to utilize for our Military contracts was advertised by them as being suitable and it was not even remotely suitable for the task. Perhaps they have changed them now however for us that ship has sailed long ago. The LRA is a work of art and the finest bipod you can purchase. End of story.

We have Harris bipods on the C14s lol. They aren't the best but it works. LRAs would be amazing but the Army is too cheap.

looks like I have two LRA on the way. The second one will have an lrt-3 attached to it. :) Inever should have ask you guys about the damn bi-pod

ATM I use factory loads, just got my press a little while ago, still looking at ways of mounting it to my bench so I don't rip apart the bench lol

with the correct amount of lube and a good long dwell time it's not bad. That said, mines on a bench made of 2x6 against a cement wall and floor. Before it was on a welded steel stand. Don't load too many at a time when working up the loads. I found primers to be sensitive to depth and needed to be flattened slightly to arm. Charges vary greatly among different rifles as well.

I would guess almost all of us have a use for an atlas sized bi-pod for mid range calibers. Your money probably wasn't wasted.

It will still use but I would have put my money out first on the LRA. It will match the atlas acu-shot mono pod thought. I will try it first before I condemn it to another rifle.

Congrats on the bipod with LRT-3 attached to it LMAO!

If you need some good quality brass and projectiles pm me! I also have some good load recipes including dwell times on the different press operations big brass needs big dwell time and frequent annealing. I have achieved very low run out with my .50 loads.

That I don't know, but when shooting the single shot in my picture above, we almost dumped the rifle a couple times because the Atlas was so tippy

What an exaggerating fan boy.:jerkit: The only almost was someone who dragged the leg of the Atlas over a rock putting a huge scratch in it because they climbed up on the rifle like they were making love to it.

There is a big problem that has been identified with the LRA bipod. The rubber feet wear extremely fast when shooting on a solid surface like a shooting bench. 50 rounds through mine and there is a well worn flat spot starting.

When I was setting it up, I almost dumped it... but I was extremely careful, if I was being quicker and not paying as much attention it would have dumped
