BI-Pod Opinins

I own an MPOD too and it is very good. Not only that, for the amount of free advice that Jerry dispenses on these forums, I'd say he's earned the right to try and sell you on the products he has developed.

Having said that, the MPOD is great if you go to the range, set up on the firing line and shoot from more or less the same position. If you plan on moving around etc., those legs can get caught on things. It's also 200$ cheaper than the LRA.

I don't have a problem with jerry pushing products on the forum. He's helped me out a couple of times deciding which product to buy and he also came in cheaper than his competitors. After all he is a sponsor on this site and the reason we have sponsors is pretty simple.

Is everything about making a sale with you Jerry? The op asked a question about a bipod for a 50 cal and right away your jumping in selling stuff. If you want to sell stuff post it in ee, sometimes ppl just want info or advice and not a pushy sales pitch!

Bad day??

OP asked for opinions and that was what he was given. I have never seen Jerry push anything on anyone. Jerry stating that you can e-mail him for pricing and to order, just saves the OP from posting asking where to find said information in the event that he wants the product.

As the original poster I didn't find him pushy. There's certainly more things in the world to be bent out of shape over. More over I'm glad that he put it forward as a viable option. And if he had access do the MPOD and didn't say anything it just wouldn't be helpful which is what I was looking for. So offer your opinions or what you've got, it's all good here.

Trust me, it's not to cover the costs of providing this forum to us.

Without you and I, this forum is nothing. Without us, sponsors wouldn't be here. Without sponsors, the owner wouldn't be making a lot of money. Profit from "sponsors" is considerable. Its a business.

I know a few people operating forums and it's a very lucrative business.

I agree that Jerry is very kind, and I feel more that he's sharing a good experience with the MPOD than trying to sell it. Fortunately he knows where to buy it ;) so it was a nice post from him.

I am currently developing my own bipod, as I found that the comptetition bipod are, in my opinion, way too expensive.

It will have a nice range of precise adjustment (2.5" to 9.5") with a quick slip nut (you don't have to turn it all the way to your adjutment), very rigid and relatively lightweight. I want to be able to make it for around 200$... Need to finish this project ASAP :)

Jerry is certainly an important reference to many of us. He has helped me several times in the past. That being said I have an MPOD and can testify that it is a very solid piece of Equipment.
