Hey guys, I've been screwing around with bi pod placement for 3 gun if you are using an extended grip on your handguard. I'm holding at the very end of my 12 inch rail, which negates the traditional positioning of a bi pod mounted at the forward most position on the rail.
What are thoughts of mounting the bi pod half way down the rail as to not obstruct your grip? I've never seen it so my thoughts are its retarded. I've toyed around with it and it seems decent, obviously less stability for elevation. I find a mono pod hold off of the mag works pretty well too.
I'm just toying with ideas here and different rifle set ups for fun to see if I can find something unique that works.
