Ok, I am one little cheque away from my Savage MkII....wanna order a bipod but am unsure what to order. Was looking at Harris Bipods but would appreciate some suggestions

Depends on what you are doing with the rifle. If mostly targets...then a short 6-9 inch will do and if shooting rodents..I would suggest a 6-13 inch as it is not as hard on the neck as the shorter ones are. Been there.. But if sitting is preferred get the one that extends to 23 inches.

Shooters Ridge products are cheaper but I have found, just as sturdy as the more expensive bipods. No breakages at all in 3 summers of gopher shooting ( thousands of shells and as many movements on the ground). and range time( on the bench) with many different calibers. there are good and bad in them all, and each shooter has their own opinion.

I have had this debate in the precision section, bipods DO NOT effect accuracy, it is all down to what your willing to pay and what you want it to do. I personally have never had a problem with my cheap Bass Pro bipod on my .308 Rem 700 so putting it on any rimfire will be ok. It also depends on if you want a big name or not, other opinions may vary. I say save your money for ammo and get a cheap bipod, it is only a rimfire.
