Biathalon Rifle Aperature Inserts for front sight?

I am looking for some new inserts for my rifle. The rifle came with 35,36,37,38 but im thinking i need something smaller for the targets im trying to hit at 50 meters.

The rifle came with 36 preinstalled and it was absolutely perfect for 25 meters when i shot it this weekend.

If anyone knows where i can find smaller inserts, that would be great.

Also, i swapped out the 14 marked rear sight with a smaller 11 one for better sight clarity.

Which size do you recommend for a target at 50m?

The insert i have on my rifle is marked 36 which i assume is 3.6mm.

I will definitely look into ordering the whole set

I recommend the set with the rotating holder. I love mine.

Whats the difference between plastic and metal inserts?

plastic is better as the ring size is narrower and there is no post to block the view.

I have used slimline since I was a Junior.

I got a set of plastic inserts 2.4 to 4.2 in the rotating case from Ray a few months ago.

If your shooting biathlon stay away from the plastic, they fog and hold snow. Newbies should stay with metal.

The Anschutz inserts used to work on the IZHMASH biathlon basic sights...

You do not want plastic slimline inserts for a biathlon rifle. You want the steel ones. As mentioned earlier, they will fog and if they get wet, your done.
