Biathlon ammo

I was watching the biathlon in the Olympic games and was curious as to the ammo they were using. I know it's 22LR but does anyone know what brand/type is commonly used?

Quite sure they use Eley, or at least some of them do.

Eley is likely the brand of choice for most. Its what we used when I was younger and competing

True, altho the weather at Sochi is so warm they really don't need Polar.

This is the first year I've finally taken the time to watch some of the biathlon events... Magazines stored in the forestock of the rifle, and a small quantity of single rounds in the buttstock. I saw one failure to fire, looks like he pulled a replacement round from the stock.

So even Olympic quality .22LR isn't foolproof

I noticed a couple of FTF in the ladies event as well. I wonder if its the gun? I know my .22 bolts just grind to a halt when they get really cold.
