Ugh I'm a die hard fan of my first year Winchester SX3... I shot a Benelli Supernova on the weekend. And it was the most perfect fitting gun I've ever put to my shoulder. I've never handled a Benelli before this. The best part about it was the drop at comb and the drop at heel fit amazing and it had a cast off shim in it.

On my Winchester I've doubled my shims with double the drop and a single cast off.

The part that doesn't fit me the best on the Winchester is the drop at heel. It sits very high in my shoulder to get a good cheek weld.

Is there a gunsmith or buttstock fitter that can make shims. I Don't want an adjustable but plate as this is a hunting gun and those are dang ugly.

Or should I Trade in for a Benelli SBE.

Downside is I don't think that the Benelli's have as nice a fit and finish as the FN Belgian guns.

Hmmm. Dilemma..

My new/old 1300 fits great as they have a lower comb and way more drop at heel.

Might make your decision easier.
I don't know, but perhaps it's not too difficult to make shims(?). I'm sure one more knowledgeable than me would have a tip for this.

The supernova and superblack eagle handle differently. Either way I'd never own either. If your drop at heel is to high I suggest buying some heavy grit sandpaper and getting busy. The sx3 is a much better gun imo

If I'm understanding your setup, would you add more shims to get the pad into your shoulder correctly, then you could build up the comb with leather, moleskin, etc. to fit your cheek?

First off I would keep the SX3. Google has lots of info on shims. Help from someone knowledgable at the range might help. Having a shotgun fit is very important. You may have over shimmed the stock (I know this happens), so a little help from those that know better than me, may make a world of different. Good luck.

Well I've doubled the shim to get 1/4 lower drop at comb I think I need another 1/8 lower. The cast off is perfect.

I figured the Winchester was a way better quality gun. Might have to do some more playing. Need a stock fitter who works with synthetics etc.
