Big beaver, 4 legged variety

jokes aside, beaver meat is good... but very fat!

Beaver bourguignon or roasted over an open fire is best. Good bush meat and, for a guy who's lost but has a gun, easy to obtain. Put a notch in the dam so rushing water makes a lot of noise... lie down a few meters away and wait! Easy shot but aim for the head

Damn near hit one while I was water skiing in front of the Besborough Hotel, downtown Saskatoon. I really, really didn't want to tangle with a pissed off beaver, in his own element, and me in a pair of swimming trunks. Pretty sure you'd come out of that a little marked up.

I haven't gone swimming with them but my old GSP (gone but not forgotten) used to dive in the beaver pond and try to fetch them. Beavers would simply dive underneath the dog and resurface farther off, then the dog would try again...and again (like any GSP would), all the time getting hit in the face by the beaver's tail. My dog never got bitten. I suppose the beavers were occupying my dog to get him away from the den. That was loads of fun and the dog got the best workout !!!!

Yep there kinda oily to eat i prefer Chicken tho :D

When i was Trapping this old Crochety old trapper told me make sure the F$#kers are dead before you grab em by the tail and cary them like a sack over your shoulder.
Aparently a Trapper was doing that and the beavers head dangleing around the back of the guys leg, It came to and Bit right thru the musell in the upper back of the leg then decided to die,
The Trapper nearly blead to death. and had a hell of a time cutting the head off.

I beat them to a pulp after hearing that story :D
