Hello. I recently ordered a FA 83 in .454. I plan on reloading and would rather use gas check lead than jacketed. All the load data I see wants wide flat points. Can any one explains this to me? It seems a bit like launching a bus down the barrel when compared to a RNFP or even a JHP.
I will buy em and chuck them down range but I'm curious.
