What a magnificent collection. You don’t often see large themed collections, focussing on one maker or one type, very often. It really takes a lifetime effort, and conditions for that kind of private collecting have to be just right. In the years I lived in the UK, I rarely came across more than one example from a given maker. Sometimes a second one might turn up, and very rarely a third. Never a fourth. Granted, my collecting subject is very narrow, but it is hard to find multiple surviving examples, given the shortness of our lifetimes. I wish I had started collecting pin-fires twenty years earlier than I did, but then again if I had, I couldn’t have afforded them. It’s like the sports-car dilemma: by the time you can finally afford one, you’re too old to properly enjoy it.

I’ve only handled a few Purdey pin-fires, but could never afford any of them, and I certainly can’t afford one now. A Purdey pin-fire will have to remain my White Whale.

There are some cracking guns in that sale. Thanks for posting.
 
Reminds me of the guy who had the collection of Win 42's. Something like 350 of them. IIRC he died a few years ago. My guess is they are relatively slowly leaking onto the market. Sold all at once, that's enough to depress the market in a big way. There are at least a couple youtube videos of the collection. Not my cuppa but that guy didn't do it half hearted. Someone said Go Big or Go Home, so he went big.
 
How would one go about getting any of these guns imported?

That 6 bore would be epic for bear. Likely couldn't get it in because of over 20mm assault style ban but one can dream
