I will be purchasing one of these two scopes. I can get the DNT in Canada now, or wait until February and get the Arken in the US for a few dollars less. Either way I'm not in a rush. A side of me wants to encourage a Canadian business, I understand that DNT and Arken are built at the same place with very similar materials but I'm wondering at the end of the day, is there one better than the other? Is the wait worth while, or should I just pull the trigger on the DNT? Thoughts, comments?

I went with the DNT offering. I am pretty happy with it, and would be hard-pressed to tell it apart from my Arken EP5 in terms of fit, finish, glass qualiy ,etc. YMMV, but personally I wouldn't bother waiting (and violating ITAR)....

My understanding is they are the same just different branding. An DNT is just a Canadian arm or some sorts. ( don’t quote me I could be wrong)

Almost the exact same scope (comes from the same chinese factory).
DNT is based in Texas and has been getting a lot of traction south of the border (some long threads on snipershide) and it's generally accepted to have slightly better glass/coatings than the Arken.

DNT ... Great + especially what your getting for the price point!
Arken's reticle only has 0.5mil mark in horizontally line(under 6mil mark), most other scopes have 0.2mil. For general paper pouching, it wouldn't make a lot of difference, but if you are shooting in a match, it matters.
DNT is a new product line from the same factory and consider it's like an upgrade version of Arken Gen 2 with overall better quality.

Yeah, I believe this is one of the update/improvement on the DNT scope.
The old Arken reticle still has the .2mil hair, just not in the center, it's between 6-8mil on the side if I recall it correctly.

Yea I saw that, I’m not sure if it’s because prophet river is importing it themselves but quite a few places have the dnt now
