That's nice to know. Basically still a pistol round, imagine it gets a 4-500ft/sec boost in velocity from the carbine barrel, but noone is going to worry about BC for this round. Lots of 45 colt projectile around, and brass should have a very long life. More likely to loose brass in the grass, than need to trim or cull it.

Back to the post I quoted. Not really sure I would want a 12" barrel. Friend of mine has one of those Ruger guide 308 rifles. Loud......what you say. One guy I knew had a.500 sw revolver. He loved to shoot it at dusk, just for the giggle factor of a 2 ft fireball.

I have some .460 brass going on 10 reloads . I haven't chro. My reloads out of my ruger# 1 with a 20 inch barrel. But whatever I put the 5x scope on within 200 yards gets a big hole in it right where I aim.

Can’t speak to right now but I had no issues acquiring reloading equipment for my 500 handi rifle ~5 years ago? Still sitting on some spicy handloads
