The spot where I like to hunt has the best action when it's blowing 20 and even over 30 knots.
This is over water in pretty good waves sometimes. Decoying wouldn't work (they'd get swept away unless you had 10-pound anchors) so it's pass shooting.
I've had poor success shooting my 2 3/4-inch loads with #3 shot (preferred decoying shell) and better using 3-inch shells with BBs.
I tried some 3-inch shells using #2 shot and they work pretty good too.
So am I right is assuming the smaller shot gets caught and dispersed easier in the wind?
What if I tried #1 shot? I'm thinking on my next shopping trip that I'll get more shells in #2, or do you think that is still too small to buck the wind?
