Biggest Finest Revolver

I've fired the BFR in 45-70, and it's not nearly as bad as you'd think; the short barrel doesn't allow anywhere NEAR as much of the powder in the case to burn as it does in a full-length rifle, so you don't get much more recoil out of it (the 454 Casull in a Freedom Arms or a Super Redhawk is a step up, recoil-wise). California prohibits the 45 Colt/410 cross-over because they decided that it constitutes a "sawed-off shotgun", even though it's legal elsewhere in the US. Earlier, someone posted an .mpg of someone firing (but not being able to hold onto) a T/C Contender in 600 Nitro, too :D

"The Experience ..."

Hmmm ... the by-line of this forum is "Things that do not shoot rifle rounds." Maybe that needs to be modified ... :D (In fact, I've often thought that description could encompass shotguns and artillery!)

Anyway, one of the cowboy action shooters here in Alberta has one of these toys - here are pictures of him firing it with just a mild load ...

He says that he has fired full rifle loads from it, but that was not a pleasant experience!

I got to fire a round or two of his mild loads on the occasion the above pictures were taken, and can well imagine what he meant!

Man thats so stupid no 45 colt 410 in CA.
I just load shot capsules in the 45 long colt and its basicly the same thing.

There 45 caliber Empty plastic Shotshell Capsules you just put the shot in em and load them like a normal 45 caliber colt bullet with a lighter load of powder. :D
I bought them from my local dealer there made by Speer $7 for 25 of em.
