I bought a lower. If it's already restricted I'm thinking of building a really short .300 Blackout. like 7.5" or maybe 10. Something scary looking because they all count the same... So why not?

Don't forget a muzzle brake to make it loud...and a pinned 5 round drum

Excellent and well done. You are now in the club and it sounds like you did it at minimal cost with a good buy. If all Canadian gun owners did this it would send a strong and clear message to Ottawa and the Liberal party. I'm betting later on when they track the purchasing record of MSR rifles there will be a upward hefty spike at the April May June quarter of 2018. It sounds like the law of unintended consequences is at work here.

I think a few substandard S&W's snuck threw the QC. For a low priced AR, I really like PSA.

As long as warranty replaces that one I wouldn't worry much, that's the only negative report I've seen and they have sold a pile of them.

The problem with this is that in Canada stockpiling carries no guarantee that you can keep your stuff: the government could still legally declare your guns prohibited with no grandfathering and then confiscate them with no confiscation. There is nothing in our constitution that protects us like it does in the USA. The only thing to do is to legally enjoy your toys until the government - i.e. the nanny-state - decides you can't.
