I have been on a Bino search for the last while and have narrowed my search down to three options:

zeiss conquest HD 10x42
meopta MeoPro10x42
Maven B.2 11x45

I have tire kicked the conquests a few times, great glass and have the rep etc for longevity and quality but am quite intrigued by the other two especially the Mavens.

Anyone been running the Meopta or Mavens listed above for a season or two?
I know they have a demo program but if i am paying shipping I’d thought I’d see if anyone has experience with them first.

cheers

You’ve got a good list of options there. While I have no experience with either the meopta or mavens directly, I can say that the Conquest are a very good bino for the money. Sharp Image, Great Armouring and a Fast Focus Wheel. The Eye Cups I also found to be very nice with firm clicks. That said the b.2’s which are very similar in size to the UHD Vortex Razors (which I have owned) are quite large. This can be nice in a way since the front barrels are farther apart and easier to get a gloved hand around for a solid grip. But ultimately I sent the UHDs down the road due to the size and other issues namely optically. Take my opinion for what it’s worth and hopefully that helps some.

Thanks, that’s a good point I didn’t consider size as much. I do like the feel on the conquests. Likely going to end up eating the shipping costs and try out the loan program on a set of mavens.
Cheers

Out of the three I would pick Meopta. I have no experience with Maven, but it appears to be another US company outsourcing glass made in Japan, likely LOW.
Chances are the Conquest glass may actually be made by Meopta, but Conquest is Zeiss' cheaper line. If weight isn't a concern, go with Meopta.
