Bipod for 700 Sendero

Can anyone inform me of a suitable bipod for a Rem 700 Sendero 7mm mag with a nightforce scope for bagging deer at 500 yds plus. This prolly shouldnt be on the precision thread.

This seemsto be a really well kept secret. Get a versa pod from Alberta Tactial Rifle who is a site sponser. Have one and a second on the way, so much better than the harris IMHO.

What model would you suggest? Are there any other attachments required?

email Rick at ATR, there might be a link on his site or google it. There are about 4 different heights, all come with mounting bracket, depends what your shooting position is.

Harris bi-pods work great for me, just steer clear of the model by Shooters Ridge.

To each their own. I tried a versapod and didn't care for it, and that particular harris model seems to work out quite well for me. Ideally, you'd get both, try both, and sell the one you liked least.

I have a Harris and a Shooter's Ridge and to be frank the SR one isn't a problem. It was a LOT cheaper and works just as well as the HArris. I am only using it at the range from a bench so no field report as to how it would stand up to those conditions.

Harris swivel bipod with pod-loc. 9-13" is the most flexible for prone shooting in the field IMO.
