Bipod for a rifle that only has a versapod spigot

I'm looking at getting back into shooting this thing. Not competitively but more interested in PRS type shooting than bench only shooting.

Obviously versapods are somewhat out of vogue, I'd like to run a harris but I can't find a versapod spigot adapter. Anyone know of such a thing? Or what might be a good alternative?
 
What specifically do you have?

I think you could do a 150-621 HD Picatinny Rail Versa-Pod Bipod Adapter then get a harris with a QD plate on it.

or get the standard 150-110 Universal Q.D. Sling Stud Versa-Pod Bipod Adapter No-Cant and through the harris right onto the stud.

Good place to start is the versapod website.

I have a FN SPR in a McMillian A5 (I think, it's older and not exactly how they come now) that the builder permanently installed a versapod spigot into the fore end, so no rail or sling swivel.

I did! My reluctance to buy a versapod comes from there being hardly anyone using them anymore, so I was think thing that there must be a reason. Even versapod themselves went away from the spigot design for the newer 300 series.
 
I dont understand..... you guys use rifle attachments because they are in "vogue"? or because they work? guys above also says he was reluctant to buy one cause guys hardly seem to use them anymore. Maybe because they dont cost 300.00? heck, ATLAS is all the rage now! better get one of them! I have one on my SL8 and I have a Versa Pos with spigot adaptor on my AICS 1.5 Remmy 722 .38, and I like the Versa Pod. Heck, just as much as the ATLAS for the most part. I especially like the quick detach from the AICS stock. I use it because it works well for me, not because its what guys are using....

But, now im thinking i better get rid of it! (J/K)
 
They are about the same price as the Harris and you never see them, so I was left wondering. Not a big fan of buying something that I can't see in person without good reviews.
