I bought a RioRand (Atlas knock off) bipod off Amazon.
My wife has me on a budget after my last rifle purchase so I have to fly under the radar for a while. I really want an Atlas BT46-LW17 PSR bipod for my Ruger RPR. However, purchasing one of these would have ended with it firmly planted in my lower rear orifice. Then I was on YouTube one evening and did a search on Altas knock offs. I found a video about using some grease and a couple of o-rings to tune one up. Hmmmm. So I went on Amazon and ordered one. $61 shipped to me.
It arrived today. The folks that make these have no shame, it even says Atlas on the thing Lol. But I must say I was really surprised with this thing. It seems very sturdy, and surprisingly well made. I know, I know, I was as shocked as you are. Two o-rings and a little grease and it operates pretty dang smoothly. Mounted it on the rifle and it seems really solid. Now, I haven't shot my rifle with it yet. It may fail catastrophically. We'll have to see. I will let you all know what happens when I can finally get to the range.
Has anyone else on here tried one of these? What was your experience with them?
