Not sure if this should go here or the rimfire section, but a pipod is a bipod no matter what you put it on so i'll just dive in. I'm sure some of you have an idea for me.

so i have an older savage MKII .22 that shoots a dime seized hole (10 shots) at 50 yards. I'm in the process of getting a new scope for it so i can shoot longer distances. i'd like to ad a bipod onto it, but there is no sling swivel attachement on it and it seems like all the bipods i see are designed to fit on one. I would rather not drill holes in the stock so i'm stuck and can't figure out which bipod to get. I'm also not made of money to no super expensive option please. I'd like something that is quick detach to i can transfer the bipod quickly to different rifles so i don't have to spend a crapload of money on a bipod for each rifle.

here is a picture of the gun in question. (top one) right now that scope on it is gone the new one is in the mail thanks to the EE... anyways thanks for any tips you all have.

sorry to say but your basically stuck drilling a whole for a sling stud, there really isnt much option, you can get barrel clamping bipods, but adding a sling stud is very simple, just take your time to cent the hole and u will be good to go!

if you google "barrel mount bipod" it will bring up your options but sadly they are all ugly and if accuracy is the name of your game clamping somthing to the barrel doesnt seem to be the best idea

not many sandbags in the gopher patch.... and yes it would appear i'd have to put in a swivel i was just hoping that SOMEONE had a different option. I'll still hold off for more suggestions.

Drill the hole. Not like you are going to devalue a fancy piece of walnut or anything.

Other than that there are rests that don't mount onto the rifle itself. You can get or make some cross-sticks or look for an adjustable shooting stick.

shooting stick are annoying to carry around though. i was hoping there was some kind of bipod that cmaped onto the stock or soemthing like that. I was looking all ove rthe internet with no luck finding one.
