bipods for the m14s

cheap good bipods for my M14S? any ideas?

I put a regular harris bipod on my M14s, had to drill a hole in the stock and get an adapter but works well, I think there was a post about how to do it here a few days ago.

rockmount will fit the bill,couldn't find a harris locally that i wanted,was recommended a rockmount if i wanted one right away.no rattles,very solid.

its really easy to mount a swivel in the stock to allow for the bipod.

Have used the Outers (Harris knockoff) from SMG on all of my rifles. Exactly the same and $20-30 cheaper. There aren't any markings on it so you can tell people it's really a Harris

Good quality product without the high price.

I use a John Mason / Norinco unit. It is a knockoff of the M14 military bipod. I was lucky enough to grab mine off eGay for about 35USF.

I use a John Mason / Norinco unit. It is a knockoff of the M14 military bipod. I was lucky enough to grab mine off eGay for about 35USF.

- the military one( i've got a springy) attaches to the gas collar, and will shift the barrel when it impacts with the ground, or if you place pressure downward- it's better to go with the stock type mount, as that doesn't- just fit a sling stud and get an outers or harris or something like that- the mil type was really designed for the m14a, the lmg version of the m14, which was a really poor lmg

Agreed but my M305 is for shooting gophers. My Savage has a nicer bipod.
