Hi I was wondering how hard it would be to mount a Harris or similar Bipod on my Old Lee Enfield 303 british.

What do you guys think. It does have the swivel studs for a sling.

Thanks

If it has the 'modern' sling swivel screw, then it should be easy.......

If it hasn't already been sporterized, don't do it!

Its be sporterized for longer than Ive been around. Im not sure if its a modern swivel screw or not. Ill get a pic later today.

Thanks

Heres a basic pic of the rifle ill get a better pic of the sling swivel later.

Yeah, can't really tell in that pic, but even if it's the original sling swivel, just switch it out for a new one and your bipod will go right on.

Or add one, in the way of the third we use on varmint guns... but this will need an additional hole in the stock.
If this rifle have a barrel band maintained by the swivel, which should be the case, you will not have a lot of options except adding a third swivel.

Id say some one added this one as its just threaded into the wood and has a screw ahead of it that goes into the barrel band .

here is a pic.

From what I see, you can easily remove the ring and only keep the swivel. Then, you can install a bipod and use quick detach (a la Uncle Mike's) ring. It would be great if the rear one is of the same type, so you could use a standard two quick detach ring fitted sling.
