Birchwood Casey Case Colour

I see Birchwood Casey offers a kit that simulates case colours. Anyone have any experience with it?

No,l but in the past, I purposely left some streaky traces of oil on a shotgun receiver, then applied cold blue, of different types. It did kind of come out like case colours. After it was done, I coated it with clear metal lacquer & it held up fairly well.

Would be nice though if everyone was not out of stock.

I saw it listed on Accuracy Plus website (out of stock).
Not the real deal, but maybe a reasonable facsimile. Worth trying
