I am looking for some black to put on my sights.

Did you have any suggestion or comments on the "Birchwood Casey Sight Black"

Hi Gerald, I have used the Casey sight black and found that it rubs off, now I just brown my sight and use a flet tip marker.

a lot of guys use a carbide lamp- MODEL paint will also work, as will NAIL polish- i use a red painted foresight, - as for birchwood casey, i've always found their stuff to be at least second rate ,if not completely useless- there's better lines out there for cheaper
the trick is to let whatever you put on dry completely and BUILD UP COATS

You can also hold the sights over a candle flame. Just take care not to melt anything plastic.

I use many Hadley and there is an O-ring on the outer ring... that I do not want to estroy.
