Birds Head grip options

So basically options come down to the Shockwave, Speedfeed, make your own, or the more painful vertical grips..... from what I'm seeing here.

Yes. Speedfeed looks the same as the Shockwave, whether there are actual differences, I don't know. If you are a skilled woodworker, you can make the same thing from a wood stock.

The speedfeed is shorter and has better support when you are doing shooting using a "push-pull" technique.
Custom modification is the best bet because you can use a standard stock with a better less "stretched out" pistol grip area and then cut it a bit longer out the back to still make 26 inches overall length it that's your situation.

Here's a good shot pulled off the web of someone holding a mossberg with a raptor grip, pretty clear the the swell is to far to the rear to help support the hand. Nothing some foam weather strip and hockey tape can't fix...... :) But worth noting. It actually surprises me that reviews online and other people here that have used the Raptor on a Mossberg don't notice the lack of support? Maybe it's because I'm used to the speedfeed witness protection that this is more obvious but the difference is night and day.

I have a solution for that, have large hands like mine and that's not an issue. Shockwave fit me well and my hand sat properly at the swell. If you have small hands, I guess you need a smaller grip.

Shockwave grip is built like a tank, impressed with the design and ergonomics. Don't think you can do much more to a PG.

When I buy work gloves large seems to fit best. That said Ive never been able to palm a basketball.
Have you tried a speedfeed or does your experience begin and end with your Raptor?
To be fair Mossbergs have a long reach to the trigger, the only stock that's impressed me is the magpul when it comes to comfort.

Post a picture of your shooting grip and I will post a size comparison of the speedfeed and raptor.

OP, Speedfeed still shows the Witness Protection on their web site so it's available. I bought one about 7 years ago from MD Charlton but maybe contact speedfeed and see who the Canadian distributor is?

Speedfeed doesn't export any more (so I'm told). I just picked up a new old stock Speedfeed set, so they're out there. OP, are you looking for an 0390 if so, PM me.
