Hi everyone! I am hoping someone might be able to help me, or recommend a vendor who can. I am trying to restore a classic Birmingham Small Arms single shot “Sportsman” .22 for my uncle. It was his as a kid. It somehow over the years lost the firing pin. I would love to get it back to operating status for him. Anyone have any ideas on where I can find one?

Thanks in advance!!

Place a Want To Buy advert in the Rimfire Parts EE, and you might get a bite there.

Otherwise, it's likely to be a project to take to the gun shows and chat with the guys who deal in used gun parts there.

Worst case scenario is that you end up cutting and filing one out of flat stock.

Is it a number 5?
Does it look like this?

Not sure they will just stick it in an envelope for ya?

It looks similar, however it does not have a magazine. Single shot only. I am not sure if it would work, but looks similar to what that is. Might almost be worth ordering that and trying to get it to fit. Thanks for the link!:)

Throw them an email and ask first.

Maybe not firing pins, but I've had very good like finding different vintage peeps sights etc on Ebay.UK.

Hey Tac! That is the one, I reached out to them, no response yet sadly. I would be willing to try it if you had better luck and could get it for me?? Really appreciate the offer!:)

Hey Tac,

Scratch that, I found a supplier that will ship to Canada and have it listed as just the sportsman firing pin, so I placed an order there. If it falls through I may take you up on your offer. Thanks again either way!
