I never ordered anything from CanadaAmmo.com before but they seem to have some pretty good deals. So I sat down at the computer tonight planning on ordering some 45 auto ammo from for the summer. Then I saw the deal they have with 1000 rounds and a Norc 1911 for $499. So I asked myself, "Do you really need a Norinco 1911?" The answer was a resounding "NO!"

So I ordered one anyway. :D I mean how can you go wrong? $499 for 1000 rounds of 45 plus a 1911! Smokin deal. I have never owned or even saw a Norinco firearm but have read some decent stuff about them here. I don't expect it to match fit and finish with my S&W's or Sig's but I'm still looking forward to getting it.

Man, I really gotta learn some self control.

I keep hearing their fit and finish has improved quite a bit lately...though still not enough to match the big boys. The frame's are apparently quite strong and get alot of praise. The Norinco's are still on my radar for a first handgun if my RPAL ever goes through. My M305 isn't the smoothest chunk of metal but it shoots and works and for the price, hey, I'm not complaining.

Well done, it's a great deal. If I didn't already have a Norc 1911, I probably would have gone for it.

I did the same thing tonight - no real desire to shoot a 45, as my 9 and 38 is just fine thank-you, but I bought the 45 anyway...."could always sell it" is what I told myself.
