Hi Guys I have a couple questions for the GURU's of the board ;)

I need to buy a set of rings for my T3 Tactical that are quick release as I am going on a Caribou hunt this fall and want to take a spare scope that is bascially on paper should I have to change out optics. This is primarily a range rifle so I"m not sure I need the 150ish dollar arms rings. They need to be for a 1" tube. Any reason I should not buy the Leupold Quick Release rings?

BTW, they need to fit on a Picatinny rail.

I am also looking to purchase a muzzlebreak for the same rifle. Does anyone have experience with both the Near and the TRG22/42 breaks? Anyone recommend one over the other? Prices seem very similar.

thanks in advance!

I have used them before they are OK,but they will not be dead on after you remount them and it will be hard to tighten them to the same spec you had before when you zero'ed your weapon

If your shooting at long range as some Caribou hunts can go I would recomend not doing a quick scope change in the field for a hunting situation without reconfirming your zero.

Just an opinion

Agreed, this is just in case of scope malfunction and I am looking to make sure that the scope is "on paper" when I check for Zero. I would never take a shot at any game animal without reconfirming zero.

Jamie,
Do yo recommend something else? I tend to like the Burris Signture Zee rings, any reason I shouldn't think about these ones?

look for TPS rings!! they should get you very close to Zero when yo re mount them, but you will need a good torque driver to get it right back
