Tried to phone them at a few different numbers...all out of service.

Anyone else try to get an order from them?

Guess I'll have to see if they processed the CC and took payment.

Fark.

.

The web site is still up. They are in the path of huricande Gustav. Phone service to that part of the US might be a little spotty right now.

Granted, but it was last week I tried.

I've ordered before, and it did take awhile...customs and all. Its the no response to emails, etc, that has me concerned.

Checked the CC billing...was charged/processed on July 30th.

I'd heard they had horrible customer service but jeez....and mores the pity, they make the best darn .22 rings out there IMHO.

Your CC has probably been charged and you'll never see the rings....been there done that. I tried calling and emailing without any luck. Finally, I had to call my CC company to have the charges reversed. Too bad BKL can't get their #### in order.

I ended up ordering mine from Brownells.

I never understood why someone who gets ripped off by a company, and goes to the trouble of getting their money back via the CC company, and then goes right ahead and gives that company their money again through a 3rd party. If you don't like them, and they ripped you off so you probably don't like them, then why would you give them your money again? "BKL doesn't deserve my business! So, I'm going to give BKL my business." :runaway:

D & L Airguns in Langley, BC has them in stock. They're very nice people to deal with...too bad they don't deal with real guns, or I would be buying more from them. Don't know what their prices are like compared to the big box stores, but I've found them reasonable for what I've bought in the past.

+2 for D & L Airguns. Very good to deal with, and have bought twice from them, both orders had BKL rings. And when you phone they answer, also a nice web site to check pricing.

BKL do have a couple of unitized mounts that are exclusive to them, as well as adapters for 13mm European airgun and rimfire rails. When its the only game in town, sometimes you have no choice.

Irrelevant. If a business isn't worth dealing with, they're not worth dealing with. You're just rewarding bad behaviour. And it will continue as long as it is rewarded.

THANKS!!!! I was having a hard time locating a set of 30mm rings for a 11mm dovetail (Falcon Menace scope going on a CZ Varmint). All the local stores I called said they were having a hard time getting them in. DL had them in stock. Ordered a set of BKL's and a set of el cheapo Leapers for giggles. :)

B-Square makes 11mm 30mm rings, and they're much nicer than BKL's, and you don't get BKL's questionable business dealings either. People are strange.

B-Square may make the rings but none of the local stores I contacted had stock nor were they able to tell me if/when they were going to get some in. "They've been on order for a while." or "We've been having a hard time getting 11mm 30mm rings in." It was DL Airguns or a US retailer and my preference is to support a Canadian business. Like skeetgunner said earlier, when it's the only game in town......

FWIW, I currently have B-Square 11mm 1" rings on the CZ.

You're welcome, Misfire. I love dealing with D&L. Great husband and wife business team, very friendly on the phone, and prompt with shipping. Like I said, too bad they didn't deal with at least rimfires...as that's all I seem to shoot these days aside from a couple of other handguns.

P&D in Edmonton took all of a day to get some in when my buddy Danne asked for some to go with his new scope.

edit - And their website is linked at the lower left corner of the sponsors at the top here. ^^^^^^

Um, thanks for the tip....the deed is done and I have absolutely no regrets with the rings I bought or the business I bought them from. After the sale I had a very pleasant conversation with the lady. The sale left me feeling warm and fuzzy. :) I'm sorry but that's how it went.......

FWIW, if I would have been aware of DL 4 years ago, my CZ would be sporting 11mm 1" BKL rings instead of the B-Squares I currently have. BKL makes an awesome product. I'm not aware of BKL's business practices other than what was posted here and it sounds more like customer service issues than shady dealings......

I agree wholeheartedly and thanks again!!!

You're assuming customer service is another department at BKL. Unless I'm not remembering things correctly, there is only one department at BKL, and only one person. And if you do ever manage to get him on the phone, he'll do his best to make you sorry you called. They're not some huge company. It's one guy, with no business sense.

If you prefer to lay up a gun and not shoot it do to lack of parts, that's your call. Sometimes a subsitute is available, some times it isnt. Such is the free hand of the market. How does your situational ethics apply when you buy the parts from a superior intermediary like Brownells or D&L? Who's being rewarded/punished then?

BLK Technologies ... Out-of-Business

A BKL 254 is just what I need  . ( If Gerald is reading this, he just fainted dead away...)

If only they were not out of business...

Thanks, sir.

Many thanks. Ordered a set.

They confirmed that BKL is "gone" and that,
once they are sold out of their BKL stock, there will be no more.

I can't speak of BKL 'business practices' because I never ordered directly from them but I will say that I am impressed with the quality of their products and am saddened that they are out of business. Whether they deserve to be in business or not is a moot point and subject to opinion. As Shorty pointed out earlier in this thread there are 'others' out there who can hopefully fill your needs. I'm glad I got my set of BKL 301's earlier this year.
