I just picked up a well used BL-22 and am looking for an exploded view and assembly/disassembly instructions.
Thanks for any help

My advice - if you are not mechanically inclined - don't!
The BL-22 is one of the more challenging guns to reassemble.
If you do take it apart - take digital photos of the action and it's assembly every step of the way and make notes on how the parts fit together.
If i remember correctly you have to use a blind pin to keep the carrier spring in place during reassembly. You also have to make sure the carrier spring is installed the correct way.

Yup, i took a browning lever action 22 apart at deer camp and it too me about an hour of tinkering to get the whole thing to fit together and work.

You were extremely lucky. If I remember correctly there is at least one spring that has to be held in with an assembly pin. That one is an absolute b*tch to keep in place without the assembly pin.

not to mention it was outside and the little spring for the ejector kept flying out... and i had the nervous son and father staring over my shoulder the entire time.

The gun digest Book of Firearms Assembly/Disassembly part III Rimfire Rifles has the BL-22 in it.
It's about $30.

^^^ Yup. It was the second gun I ever took apart. The first being a Mossberg 500. Let's just say that one gun is easy and one is not. Be very careful. Unless you like to curse your firearms. Then by all means strip away.

Yes, it's definitely a cantakerous little bugger but I have learned from the last few times taking one apart that a "small" dab of grease in the ejector spring recess holds the little ummm *insert bad word here* in place while you are putting the ejector in.
