Bl-22

A buddy of mine has one.... I think they're very nice rifles. It's nicely finished and doesn't seem to have any issues feeding what ever he loads the tube with. They are a little more expensive than your "average" 22 though.

Outstanding little rifles....really.

No issues to worry about, feeds anything, and the BL is of a quality just not seen too often in todays rimfires. It would be a gun to buy and keep forever....an heirloom. My only suggestion would be to spend the extra bucks and get the Gr. II...same gun, nicer wood and some engraving. If you are gonna buy a lifetime gun, might as well get the good onee!

Fun little guns.
The trigger on mine is a little on the heavy side but it breaks clean.
The gun is harder then most lever 22's to breakdown and ligthening the trigger does not seem to be an option....
I wouldn't bother with the fancy grade but that's just personal taste and if you are patient they pop up used for around $350 on the E.E.

I've never owned one. Have had to work on customers', though. Based on that experience I don't really want one. Prefer 9422s or Marlin 39s. They are a pain to reassemble. If you insist on taking one apart fairly often, keep an extra ejector spring on hand. Firing pins do break. The lower receiver is diecast alloy, I've seen a couple with the steel pin that engages the upper receiver broken loose.
Good points - nicely finished, shoot well, slick short throw action.

My gunsmith seems to think they are very good and is especially happy about the short throw of the lever. Nice lookin gun but I still prefer the looks of the Marlin 39a. Both very popular rifles and keepers all the way. Try to find a good used in either. Lots sold and mostly kept from the looks of it. Keeping mine. Gotta have a lever in the safe somewhere-just wouldnt be natural IMO.
