BL22 rear sight fixed but what else is out there?

First outing with my brand new BL22 and the rear sight went floppy. I saw that the sight base had a tension spring plate under it and since the sight pin slid right out without effort I gave the plate a little crimp in the right direction and reinstalled. Things seem to stay up now with some snap.

It got me thinking though, if this doesn't last and poops out again, what may be a good and solid upgrade for the BL22 while staying with iron sights?

Yesterday, I installed a Williams WGRS 54 onto an older BLR-22 - snug fit, it seems - no doubt will also need a taller front sight. The rifle was claimed to shoot very well with a scope using specific CCI Standard Velocity ammo - to see if I can get similar with a rear aperture sight.

^when I got my BL22 earlier this year, it too had a floppy rear sight. Bugged me even though I planned to scope it, so I ordered a replacement from WGP. It's still sitting in a small ziploc because I'm also wondering if there is a better option. The action is wonderfully small, and some guns are just better for iron sights. I'll be exploring some of these^ options.
