My next Black Badge Course is Feb 20/21 in Taber Alberta. Cost is $300 which includes your first year IPSC Alberta membership, your first match fee, books, lunch both days and 2 days of instruction. To take the course you will need a firearm 9 x 19 or larger, 4 mags (5 preferred), a holster, mag holders, belts, safety glasses, ear protection and 500 rounds of ammunition. You will be on the range for 2 days about 8 hours or more a day. There is a 3 hour open book exam before the course. There is a $100 deposit to reserve a spot. Trevor, No we don't in my classes. I spend a lot of time on the range with breaks for classroom stuff when students start getting tired. A typical course goes through about 450 rounds through i had one course go through 700.
 
I know of no course in Fort McMurray but then unless i was teaching it i wouldn't know about it. I would suggest you get on the Fort McMurray Fish and Game sight and ask there.

I know my last course i had one person from Ft. McMurray drive down to do it.
 
Yeah that's right, I talked to the guy about it. I spoke to a range officer who mentioned it briefly to me. And I emailed the gentlemen in charge of training and also the fella who is chair of the pistol range, a while ago, no response, that's ok though. If anything I'll do what Ralf did and go to Taber. Come on down for the February course. Hopefully the weather will stay nice and it looks like it will be a small course so more one on one time.
