The approach the Environment people have taken with reguard to bears in urban areas is, in my opinon, without common sense or logic. I was bluff charged by a sow with three cubs on our property and our property borders a subdivision. I phoned the RCMP with, what I thought was an issue of public safety and the RCMP officer who responded to my phone call agreed after he saw the bears. He phoned Conservation and they said leave them be. I hope I am wrong but I fear this line of thinking will go on until someone gets killed. The bear issue in British Columbia, in my opinion, is nothing to do with public safety and common sense and everything to do with public opinion and grabbing for votes.

I love it when people go into the woods this time of year and chose not to pack some Heat. I pack my rifle where ever I go because you never know when your gonna come around a corner and there's a bear, be it black or grizz sharpening his steak knife and licking his lips.
And he has the ability to pack a handgun being an RCMP, go figure!!!
