Mantis sent me the original Blackbeard to evaluate and write an article about. I still use it all the time. Best thing is is works in any caliber upper (except for some .22LR ones that have an ejector rod in the upper). With there was something similar for a pistol that reset the trigger.
Wish it would have fit my modern sporter. But then I also wish I'd kept my AR.

Its doable to mod it to fit a sporter. I got a blackbeard x for play a bit with the old ARs but a friend wanted to try it in his sporter. Took a drill to the back of the mantis under the charging handle mold and with a little bit of fitment was able to get it to fit into the sporter up and it worked shockingly well. He bought mine that we modded and I bought a new one. Great little device
