Read the description on the rifle... really misleading description on how this rifle actually performs out of the box. Plus the warranty for this rifle is terrible. Pretty sure the 102 is the joke of the AR community not sure where best selling came from.
I’m in much the same boat as your friend. I have no complaints at all about mine.
Mine normally shoots 1 MOA with 150 SST's ....lots of guys aren't capable of shooting tight groups with capable guns, just look at the targets left at the ranges...lots of 3 inch groups @ 100 meters shot with Vanguards and Tikkas!
Kinda like the first Modern Hunter range reports...guys posting scatter gun looking groups shooting shyt ammo.
Anyways.... I have owned one of the first gen 102s as well as a 3rd gen. No issues at all with either one. Love em!
If there's one thing I learned with "gambling" on a gen2 is that too many people spend their time typing and complaining instead of pulling triggers and smiling. Mine shoots great and does it job for good price that includes the NR Tax.
