I would like to tap the Mind Hive which is one of CGN’s greatest asset..
Which, if any, of these would you recommend, and why, for a newbie’s first foray into the world of non-restricted black rifles in .223/5.56.
They all offer ostensibly the similar features, and are in the same ballpark cost wise.
FWIW, I have owned, and operated the W-180C as well as the RDB and have drawn my own conclusions, but I am interested in hearing other owners/users experience.
Cheers!

I like our WK180 but the long, heavy barrel makes it a long, heavy, unwieldy package. A skinnier profile barrel would really help. A shorter barrel would really be the solution but you know .... the CDN govt. :(

I bought a used RDB. I like the RDB and it is a generally interesting rifle with some good features and some not so good. For sure I would suggest NOT purchasing a used rifle. The RDB really needs to be able to use its factory warranty. Mine has a serious trigger issue and that is my problem to fix because the warranty only covers the first owner.

I ended up getting an X95 which is durable and reliable without being stupidly expensive.

Su-16, cheaper and... well I would say better, but none of these are going to war with you.

I’ve owned both, I only put a couple hundred rounds through per year , so any of the above would work for me.
BCL and KD both were reliable for me, but the BCL looks and feels way better.
SU 16 is awesome if accuracy isn’t your concern, fastest shooter I’ve ever had,3 to 4 MOA with crap ammo( I’ve had it shooting 1.5 with hand loads).
If you’re looking for the Armalite rifle ,then the closest thing available is the Lockhart Raven, or something off the EE, probably around $3000 + either way you slice it.

If you like the side chargers, then BCL $1500

Anything else , SU 16 $800

Both are a POS. Do you own both or why?
SU got a bad rap because they had a couple dozen receivers receivers blow out the back, there’s a lot of them out , there’s probably about 100 to 1 SU 16s more than KDs out there.
I’ve had 4 SU 16s and they were reliable, I didnt put thousands of rounds through them all, but one I tortured a bit. lol
It was a tank, eat anything, including the Norc crap .
10 or so lar mag dumps and not 1 malfunction I had it pretty hazy.
