Do these have a preference for brass cased ammo, or will they feed with Barnaul stuff, too ?

I've never shot one,
I'd think they'd be ok with steel case

pump action extraction is a very different game then semiauto

A friend of mine has one, and has had it since they came out. It works fine, and is accurate with all ammo including steel cased Tula .223. His has a fluted chamber (I think it's to reduce extraction forces); it makes brass ammo virtually impossible to reload: so if you want to reload, don't buy one.
