Black Hills Ammo Dealer in Edmonton

Quick question. Is the Black Hills ammo really that great? Handgun or Rifle ammo, is it worth the money?
thanks
Eric

I've tried some of their 69 & 75 grain match offerings in .223 and was not impressed for the money it cost me.

Milarm is the worst for tying up product lines. They talk their way into getting a product line and want exclusive rights to distribute it. There will order the min. opening order to get the rights. Then tying up the line and won't bring anything in.

I've shot hundreds, if not thousands of BH's rounds:

68gr. BTHP's
69gr. BTHP's
75gr. BTHP's
77gr. BTHP's
5.56 77gr. Mk262Mod2

All have performed exceptionally. It is very accurate ammo out of my 14.5" AR. All the BH's ammo I have shot has averaged about 1.25MOA, sometimes I get groups of .75MOA and smaller, usually with the 75gr. Red Box moly loads, they have a reputation for being stellar rounds.

My favorite BH's loads are the 77gr. pills, especially my small stock of Mk262Mod2 I play with, its also exceptional in the accuracy department as well as terminal ballistics.

For my opinion, there is no better heavy hollow point factory loaded rounds than they guys at Black Hills, my close second would be Hornady's 5.56 75gr. TAP load, which shoots just as good as the BH's stuff.

Sure they are pricey for the rifle match loads, but they are worth every penny if you have a gun capable of delivering the accuracy they are capable of.

As a side note, customer service and the people at BH's are great to deal with, I've talked to them lots with many technical questions regarding their ammo and they are prompt and detailed in their responses. Great CS!

$37 for 50-.45ACP FMJ rounds though is a rip off, no wonder they've been sitting there for two years.
