Not sure if this still qualifies for the "Red Rifle" forum...........it's my Norinco SKS in its new Tapco black suit. I think it looks pretty good (test fire is tomorrow so we will see how it feels), and as I have a couple of others (Russians) that are still stock originals, I feel ok about "tacticooling" one.

I do prefer the look of the tapco stock over the ati option. my buddy has the ati one, and it didn't fit together very well. :(

how does the handle feel? is it good and secure?

I have to say I was surprised at how well it fits. A little work with a file to get the handguard to fit the gas tube the way I wanted - but only 10 mins or so work. Overall it feels very solid. Shooting it tomorrow will tell the real tale.
 
I put a Glock slip on grip over the pistol to get it somewhat comfortable. The Intrafuse itself feels clunky, blocky, and unnatural when firing. In a way the Strikeforce and Monte Carlo don't. Zero cheek weld too and a terrible feel when you do.
I'd like to shoot one in an AA stock, but the look of those don't appeal to me. Never shot a Dragunov, or Timbersmith SKS.

I ultimately chose a different stock and the Tapco sits in my spare stock pile. I also own all original SKS' which is a must IMO.

I actually like the Tapco. The inletting is pretty good unlike ATI. The hand guards are an abomination, the ATI one looks much better on a Tapco. And if you don't like the grip you can swap it for any AR grip without a beavertail.

I ordered the Tapco butt pad and it came just in time for todays trip to the range. The report is all good. The stock performed great and was really comfortable to shoot. Loading 5 into the mag and clicking in place from below AR style is a breeze and I had zero issues with feed or the bolt locking back on empty. All in all I am really pleased with the swap.
