I think they do a good job and they have experience with firearms. I know Dlask uses them.

I’m curious to hear more about this. When I asked KS Arms about doing the barrel to match their action - they said it’s not recommended. Not sure why. You would think if it’s corrosion and wear resistant, it would be excellent for barrels.

Nitriding gives a thin, hard(brittle) skin. Can't imagine that being great in a barrel.
On the other hand, how different is that from chrome lining? Hmm....

They do use nitriding for AR15 barrels, and I think Blaser R8 barrels are plasma nitrided. I don't think it's used for precision rigs.

Foothills Heat Treating does this right in Calgary. They had a special cage at one point to evenly support the barrel during the process.
