I would love to see people pics of there black oxide work. Also curious if anyone has used the "tool black gel" that seems to be growing in popularity.
Looks like it would do a good job... You can even watch the video of it being used on the site... Heck, didn't some of the com-block countries use a simular process to get a corrosion resistant coating on the bare steel and then paint them with paint very much like what we seen on the CZ 58S rifles now in the country? Just my 2 cents...

Sandblasted the gun then straight into the solution for 20 mins pulled it out put it into the water tank for a second or two then straight into the sealer oil (water displacing oil)
hung it up to dry and in a couple of days wiped it down with a rag (lots of black comes off then oiled it and rubbed it down with oil a little more black comes off but then its good as the picture shows

That looks great , I have a 1911 project I have been working on using an older pistol that could use a dip . I was considering armacoat at first but that looks smooth.. Any more pics ??? Anyone , Anyone ,Anyone!!!!!!!!!
