Black oxide work let see your pics

MRCLARK, I think the stuff you are referring to is from these people???

http://www.caswellplating.com/

Looks like it would do a good job... You can even watch the video of it being used on the site... Heck, didn't some of the com-block countries use a simular process to get a corrosion resistant coating on the bare steel and then paint them with paint very much like what we seen on the CZ 58S rifles now in the country? Just my 2 cents...

Cheers
Jay

Ok here's the pic of the 870 :D
870.jpg

I will post pics of the other stuff i did and the finished 870

Nope black oxide :D
Sandblasted the gun then straight into the solution for 20 mins pulled it out put it into the water tank for a second or two then straight into the sealer oil (water displacing oil)
hung it up to dry and in a couple of days wiped it down with a rag (lots of black comes off then oiled it and rubbed it down with oil a little more black comes off but then its good as the picture shows
Very easy to do

That looks great , I have a 1911 project I have been working on using an older pistol that could use a dip . I was considering armacoat at first but that looks smooth.. Any more pics ??? Anyone , Anyone ,Anyone!!!!!!!!!
