I caught part of a video , it was on a friends garage shop big screen . No volume and no identity info . it appeared like a guy was shooting black powder percussion cap . The powder was a measured amount glued ? together with lead bullet glued to end of it . Each piece was wrapped in wax paper . . The ammo was in a flat style range ammo holder . Take one unwrap wax paper load and ram it into bore all in one movement . I tried looking intnet and couldnt see anything like it .
Is this an actual thing ? or was it just some nut job video . ? Could you glue? black powder to make a powder charge , rather then measure out an amount , pour it in barrel , ram it , then wad , then ram cast bullet into barrel .
Please note , This was just a video I seen , and am curious to see if this is a real thing , safe , unsafe ?

While not what you're asking, you can make paper tube "sort of a speedloader" with newspaper, a dowel, light string, and a glue stick. Kind of a poor mans version of those paper cartridges the British would use for their smoothbore rifles way back when. But no part of it involves glue mixing with powder to form a chunk.
 
Yeah , thats not the video I seen . But its along same idea . Video I seen was like two or three hodgsons powder pellets glued together with that ribbed style projectile glued on . .
I liked the idea of put it in barrel and one ram and done . But what about the glue ? I imagine it would burn off vaporize burn off with the combustion .
I thought it was interesting cause the way things are going in No Canada , looks like i,m gonna be hunting with a single shot black powder or a nerf gun in the near future
Note . Last line was meant to be semi humourous
 
You can also make a paper cartridge using magician's flash paper. I make them for my 36 cal police steel pistols. Glue the paper into a tube shape, seal off the bottom, fill with powder and glue the ball on top. Then you just ram the whole thing into the cylinder. Just like the good ole days.

I have used zig zag blue rolling papers and just the glue sticks from dollar stores. Zig zag white work better but are more fragile. The cartridge forming kits are worth getting. From cap and ball or guns of the west. I think there was a fella on the ee selling them as well.
