Black Powder in Manitoba

My grandson in Manitoba just bought a flintlock. Can anyone suggest a source for black powder?

Black powder substitutes don’t work in a flintlock. They have very slow ignition in the pan.

Well, hate to disagree but I'm going to disagree anyway. Pyrodex RS works perfectly fine in a Flintlock, that is all that I use in mine. I have a left hand Traditions 50 cal Deerhunter that has only seen Pyrodex since I bought it. The trick to get reasonably rapid ignition is to properly load the pan. Yes, there will always be a "slight" delay in ignition but Goex FFFFg properly loaded in the pan, make that flintlock work adequately.
It works for me.
