Black Powder Shooting Events

Posting for a friend. He has put on long range black powder shoots around the Kitchener area. How many of you would be interested in doing one of these shoots? All shooting is done with rifle cartridges 38 calibre and larger, lead only. Friend was asking if anyone else in the area is doing this that he may be able to contact for information on other events. His events usually include 100,200 and 300 yard events. Fee is usually $20.

The ORA still runs black powder shoots at Borden out to 1000 yards.

It's quite different being in the butts when the BP guys are shooting from 1k. Some bullets whistle a little coming in, and some don't. The only way you know for sure when they arrive (for a lack of a better term) is the splash (splat!) in the berm. It sure is unique.

Who/what is ORA? Can you give me more information about them. I myself am insterested in the shoots. Who can I get in touch with to get more information

ORA? Ontario Rifle Association. We are kind of new at this, the organization has only been around for 137 years.
